Foreign Languages Instructor

It is my privilege to be your children's foreign languages teacher. I was born and raised in the Basque Country (northern Spain and 20 minutes from the French Border.) I received my B. A. from the "Compania de Maria College" in San Sebastian (Spain). While in Spain I taught French, English, and Latin.

I moved to Boise in 1972. Since then I have attended B. S. U. to further my education taking courses in psychology, different methods of teaching foreign languages and Basque language classes. I've participated in numerous enrichment programs and workshops related to education.

I was a house-mom until my two children went to school. Then I started working for the Boise School District teaching Spanish. I was also the Spanish coordinator for their gifted and talented program. My experience in the Montessori classroom dates from the year 1983. Since then I've been very fortunate to work closely with several wonderful Montessori teachers, assisting them in the classroom and in the office. But my main role has always been teaching Spanish, French, Latin, and Basque.

On January of 2000 I attended the training to become a Berlitz Spanish instructor at the Berlitz Language Center in Boise. I am currently employed by Berlitz teaching Spanish to adults. It is an experience which I truly enjoy and it helps me bring new approaches and methods of teaching foreign languages into the Montessori classroom.
