Grades 1-3

I grew up with eight sisters and one brother in Iowa. We're still quite close, although spread geographically. I went to school in San Diego, but graduated in Omaha with a B. S. degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. The Montessori philosophy made too much sense for me to consider teaching in any other setting. I received my Montessori teaching certificate for the 3 to 6 year olds level in Omaha and my elementary certificate for the 6 to 9 year olds in Chicago. Both certificates are through the American Montessori Society (AMS).

I appreciate the natural curiosity and love of learning in the younger elementary student. It is a pleasure to guide and be guided by such wonderful souls. I believe we are all fortunate to find ourselves together at Rose Hill Montessori. I enjoy my time away from school with my great husband, Tim Teske, and my all-time favorite pastime, reading.
