Beverly Staddon
Elementary Assistant

Beverly came to Rose Hill in January, 2000 with over twenty years teaching experience in private schools and has done tutoring and adult literacy teaching for several years. She holds a bachelor's degree in Home Economics and Biology and a 5th year in Elementary Ed. When her last child was a preschooler, she went back to school and received an associate degree in Early Childhood Education. She has spent over two years as a preschool teacher.

Geography and history are of great interest to Beverly for as a child she lived in Peru, Mexico, Alaska, and California. Since college, she and her husband have spent two years teaching in Singapore, and have taught in Illinois, Wyoming, Colorado, and in California's gold country at Sonora.

Quilting, cross stitch, and sewing are Beverly's main hobbies. She and her husband, Jack, enjoy camping and traveling. Jack is a music and computer teacher. They have three daughters and three grandchildren. Beverly says that Boise is a very nice place to live. It has the advantages of a big city, but with a small town atmosphere. She enjoys spring and summer best when she can go camping in Idaho's great outdoors.

Teaching Idaho history has really sparked an interest in touring Idaho. She has become so fascinated with Idaho that this summer she and her husband toured all 44 counties in Idaho, all but one of Idaho's state parks, and nine states in the Northwest. She has returned to the classroom with many photos, books, and memories to share with the Idaho history students and anyone who wants to hear about Idaho.
