Classroom News - Primary Class - Lower Elementary - Upper Elementary

Elementary Open House - Tuesday, February 28, 6:45 - 8:15 pm - This is an evening for the students to bring their families and friends to school and show them some of the work they do and the lessons they have learned.  Families may come any time during that hour and a half.  It is a caual event and there is no formal presentation since it is not a parent education night.  Anyone is welcome to attend if they wish to see elementary students at work and the Montessori material being used.  We hope to see everyone there!

Dads Discuss! - This is an opportunity for Dads to meet and informally discuss themes related to education, parenting or family life.  The goal is to be relaxed, fun, and informative.  Newcomers are very welcome!  We'll develop better connections between Dads, ultimately building a stronger Rose Hill community.  Meetings are in the back room of Papa Joe's, 1301 Capitol Blvd, near BSU.  Refreshments will be available to order.  Contact Jim Reay or Mike Hertling for more information.  Meetings are at 8 pm usually the 4th Monday of the month.  The next meeting is Monday, January 30.

PTO Cup of Tea Campaign - The PTO started the Cup of Tea Campaign 4 years ago to help raise funds to cover its goals and dreams for the students of Rose Hill.  These funds support The Scholarship Fund, Teacher Educational Advancement, and Special Student Educational Programs and Materials in such areas as theater, music, and science.  For more information please click on the following:  Cup of Tea Campaign Information,  Receipt for Donation, Corporate Matching Funds information.

Thank you Melissa Rushton and everyone who made the PTO Chili Feed on October 14 such an enjoyable social event.  The weather was gorgeous and it was great to see so many alumni.

Fiesta de Mayo 2012 will be celebrated Friday, May 4.  The event starts at 5:00 pm.  The Spanish Program starts at 6:00 pm. Along with the Spanish Program, there is a Silent Auction and an Ice Cream Social.  This is the school's biggest event of the year and one that the children look forward to with great excitement.  The Rose Hill PTO is responsible for the silent auction, raffle and ice cream social portions of the event.   Fiesta Committee meetings will start the end of 2011.

School Events

PTO Monthly Newsletter - The PTO meets the third Tuesday of each month during the school year. The meetings go from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. - Child care is provided.

Next PTO Meeting is Tuesday, February 21, 2012.

School Calendar - this has only major events listed.  Remember that when the Boise School District is closed for a Snow Day, Rose Hill is also closed.
