February 2012

Tuesday, Feb 14 - Valentine's Day Party and card exchange - If you wish for your child to pass out cards, please bring 30 "unaddressed" cards with only your child's name on them.  It is fine if your child choosed not to exchange cards.  They will still receive cards from their friends.

Tuesday, Feb 28 - A visitor from the Idaho Botanical Garden will come to talk to the class all about seeds

"Young Rembrandts," a drawing class for grades K - 6, starts Wednesday, Feb 8, 3:15 - 4:15 pm - see the flyer in the classroom for details

The Little Chess Masters optional program started Thursday, September 15.  Sessions are held from 11:00 - 11:30 am. New participants are welcome anytime during the school year.  Registration forms will be sent out soon for any family interested.

Tumble Bus will be on Wednesdays from 11:00 - 11:30 am.  This too is an optional program and registration forms can be found in the classroom to the right of the door, below the black "mailbox."

"Little Wonders" Science began in October for 4 year olds through first graders.

Magic Tumble Bus - If you would like your child to participate in the Magic Tumble Bus each Wednesday at 11:00 am sign-up forms are by the side door. More info at www.tumbletimegymnastics.com

Thursday, Oct 13 - Scarecrow Stroll and Pumpkin Patch at Idaho Botanical Garden - leave at 9:00, return by 11:00 - Carpoolers needed

Monday, Oct 31 - Trick or Treating at Heatherwood - Come in cosutmes and bring a change of clothes - the van with pick up the children at 10 am

Thursday, Sept 29 - Fire Department visits the Early Childhood and Lower Elementary classes at 10 am

Tuesday, May 17 - Emma Arnold will do a bee-keepig demonstration at 11 am

March 2011

Parent-Teacher Conferences are in March.  Please sign-up in the classroom.

Wednesday, March 2 - Field Trip to Discovery Center to explore exhibits and see a show on "Matter & Molecules."   Please sign up if you can carpool.  Cost is $4.50 per child ($3.50 entry + $1 for show).  If you have a membership entry is free, but you will need to pay $1

Tuesday, March 8 - Early Childhood Open House from 6:30 to 7:45 pm.  This is a time for the students to show their families and friends some of the work they do at school.  Come any time between 6:30 and 7:45 pm.  There is no formal presentation.

Monday, February 14 - Valentine's Day Celebration with card exchange - no candy or treats please.  Please bring 30 cards, unaddressed (without names).  We will have a special snack.

Tuesday, February 22 - The Elementary Classes (grades 1 - 6) are having an Open House from 6:45 - 8:15 pm - Parents and friends of all Early Childhood students are welcome to come
