Upper Elementary Classroom Things to Remember The Upper Elementary Class volunteers at the Idaho Food Bank every 3rd Tuesday of the month from 10:15 - 11:15 am. Please wear close-toed shoes. Carpoolers are needed. Upcoming Field Trips and Events Friday, May 2 - Civil War Re-enactment at Eagle Island Park - 8:30 am to 1:00 pm - Free - Carpoolers needed - bring hat, sunblock, water, and sack lunch Monday, May 5 - Storytelling workshop begins with Paul Higgins for 5th & 6th graders - workshop sessions on May 5, 12, and 19 - Storytelling Concert on Wednesday, May 21 at 1:00 pm, all parents invited Thursday, May 15 - Desert Discovery Days at Dedication Point in Snake River Birds of Prey Area, south of Kuna - 9:00 am until 1:30 pm - Free - Carpoolers needed - bring hat, sunblock, water, and sack lunch Our Sincere Gratitude to... Alumni News O Fourth Grade Idaho History Tour Since September of 2003, the fourth grade Idaho History students of Rose Hill Montessori take a 4 day journey across Southern Idaho exploring the state's history, geology, culture, wildlife, and industry. The students learn about the Oregon Trail and the life of the early pioneers at Montpelier, Three Island Crossing, Fort Hall, Massacre Rock, and Register Rock. Geology is witnessed and explored first-hand at Bruneau Sand Dunes, Balanced Rock, Malad Gorge, Snake River Canyon, Hagerman Fossil Beds, Craters of the Moon, Lava Hot Springs, and Soda Springs. A Sho-Ban woman shares her people's history and culture. They learn about the life cycle of a steelhead and they pet sturgeon at the Hagerman Fish Hatchery. At Potato Expo they discover all there is to know about the potato. The students and parent chaperones
camp at Craters of the Moon, Lava Hot Springs, and Lake Walcott. Fifth& Sixth Grades' Field Trip to MOSS
